Wahoo’s Fish House is one of the dressier stops on the Marshwalk without losing the laid-back vibe — a two-story creekside restaurant with big windows framing the marsh and a menu that pushes past the usual fried baskets into creative seafood and a full sushi bar. It’s a solid pick for a slightly more special night out, but the atmosphere stays unpretentious enough for a casual dinner too. Right next door is Wahoo’s Bar & Marina, so once you’ve eaten you can walk straight over for live music and drinks without moving your car — or your kayak.

Local Insider Tip

Happy hour runs nightly from 4–7pm at both the inside and outside bars, with drink and sushi specials that regulars build their evening around. The Firecracker Shrimp gets called out constantly as a must-order, and the spicy tuna rolls are the go-to if you're leaning toward the sushi side of the menu. Because Wahoo's sits right at the marina, it also tends to be the liveliest live-music stop on the Marshwalk after dark — worth timing your visit around sunset if you want dinner and a show in one stop.

Kayak Access

Wahoo's is one of the few Marshwalk spots built with boaters in mind — there's real dock space right at Wahoo's Bar & Marina, and paddlers can tie up and walk straight in rather than beaching a kayak elsewhere. Launch from Morse Park Landing for the shortest paddle up the creek, then follow the channel toward the marina docks. Because this stretch handles actual boat traffic in and out of the marina, stay close to the edges and watch for larger boats maneuvering near the dock, especially in the evening when the bar and live music pick up.
