Murrells Inlet Kayak

The Marsh Walk

Fresh sushi and seafood right on the MarshWalk — one of the most popular spots in the inlet

About

The MarshWalk is a half-mile wooden boardwalk along the tidal marsh in Murrells Inlet, lined with some of the best seafood restaurants and bars on the South Carolina coast. From Drunken Jack’s to Dead Dog Saloon, every spot has a water view and a story. This is where locals and tourists meet every evening — cold drinks, live music, shrimp boats in the background, and sunsets that stop you mid-sentence. If you paddle the inlet at dusk, you’ll hear the music from the water before you see the lights.
Local Insider Tip
Park at the public lot on Business 17 and walk the whole stretch before picking a spot. The restaurants at the north end tend to have shorter waits. Come by kayak if you can — tie up at the dock and walk right in.
Kayak Access
Launch from Oyster Landing (0.3 mi north) and paddle south along the marsh edge to reach the MarshWalk docks. Best at high tide.
