A Murrells Inlet original since 1845 — the oldest restaurant tradition on the South Carolina coast
The Hot Fish Club has roots going back to 1845, when local fishermen and planters gathered at a club on this site to feast on fresh-caught fish. The current restaurant carries on that tradition with a menu centered on the freshest local seafood — flounder, shrimp, oysters, and the catch of the day. It's a Murrells Inlet institution, the kind of place that locals take out-of-town guests to show them what this area is really about. The she-crab soup is legendary, and the fried flounder is as good as it gets on the Grand Strand.
Order the she-crab soup no matter what. It's been on the menu for decades and for good reason. The lunch specials are a great value and the dining room is quieter than dinner service.
Located on the north end of the inlet. Paddle from Oyster Landing south along the marsh — the restaurant is visible from the water.
