A Murrells Inlet institution since 1976 — waterfront dining with a view you can't beat
Named after a legendary pirate who supposedly buried treasure near Murrells Inlet, Drunken Jack's has been a fixture on the MarshWalk since 1976. It's the kind of place where the menu hasn't changed much because it doesn't need to — fresh local seafood, cold beer, and a deck that hangs over the water. Order the she-crab soup and the fried shrimp. Come back for the sunset. The upstairs bar has the best view on the whole walk.
Go upstairs to the bar deck for the best sunset view on the MarshWalk. Arrive by 6pm on weekends or you'll wait an hour. The she-crab soup is the real deal — not the tourist version.
The Drunken Jack's dock is accessible by kayak at mid to high tide. Paddle from Oyster Landing heading south along the MarshWalk.
